Ingredients
- 1 cup elbow macaroni , dry
- 1/4 lb angel hair pasta , broken into 1-2″ pieces
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups long grain rice
- 1/2 cups dried lentils
Garnish
- 1-2 onion , thinly sliced and pan-fried in olive oil
- 1 batch Spicy Egyptian Tomato Sauce , see note below

Instructions
- Cook the macaroni, pasta, rice, and lentils according to package directions.
- Place cooked and drained pasta in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt.
- Toss it together and place it at the bottom of a 2 1/2 quart casserole.
- Toss the cooked rice and lentils together then layer it on top of the pasta.
- Drizzle with half of the Spicy Egyptian Tomato Sauce and top with fried onions.
- Place in a warm oven until heated thoroughly.
- Serve hot with extra tomato sauce.
